Chris Brown Probation Revoked, Not Going to Jail
Chris Brown had his probation revoked in the Rihanna beating case.
Brown appeared in a Los Angeles court on Monday afternoon to face allegations that he has not been compliant with the terms of his probation. In 2009, he was found guilty of assaulting ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. He entered a plea deal to avoid jail time but over the years, he has been in trouble with the law.
Judge James Brandlin formally revoked his probation. However, he did not sentence Brown to jail. Instead, he allowed the 24-year-old to continue his treatment at an anger management facility he was been ordered to attend last month. The judge also ordered Brown not to smoke marijuana.
Brown was also given permission to go to Washington on Jan. 8. He has a court appearance stemming from an altercation in October. He and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy spent the 36 hours in jail following an altercation. Allegedly, Brown was outside the W Hotel on K Street and was about to take a picture with two female fans. It was then that two men attempted to photo bomb and Brown responded with a punch to the face to one of the men.
Brown and Hollosy were both initially charged with felony assault but those charges were reduced to a misdemeanor.
