Jessica Simpson Loses Weight from Baby No. 2
Jessica Simpson has shed the weight she gained with her second pregnancy.
The 33-year-old fashion mogul opened up to USA Today about her body returning to its pre-pregnancy shape. She had her first child, Maxwell, in May 2012. Her son, Ace, was born in June. She credited caring for her kids with fiancé Eric Johnson and Weight Watchers, which she endorses, for helping her.
"With both kids I'm running up and down my stairs a million times," Simpson told USA Today. "Kids can keep your metabolism going."
Simpson also gave credit to Johnson for being a very committed partner.
"Eric and I go on walks together," she said. "I try and walk about four miles a day consistently. It makes me feel better."
Simpson acknowledged that she did feel pressure from the media to lose weight. During both of her pregnancies, she was ridiculed for her weight gain.
"It does get old having people harping on how much you weigh or your body after pregnancy," said Simpson. "People are going to pick me apart no matter what I do. I'm always going to have critics."
Simpson said she was determined to be the version of herself. Her other goal was to be a good mother to her children. She was coy about whether or not she wanted more children after marrying Johnson.
"I can't even think about being pregnant again," Simpson said, before quickly adding, "I would never say never."
