Tom Comstock Survives Freak Lumber Accident, Asks God For Boyfriend [VIDEO]
Tom Comstock survived a freak lumber accident and asked God for a boyfriend, The Huffington Post reported Wednesday.
"This is a once in a lifetime story. I gotta have pictures or no one will believe it," Comstack said.
The ordeal began when Comstock was driving his Nissan X-Terra home on Nov. 22 in Portland, Ore. He was rear ended by a truck behind him during rush hour traffic. Comstack explained to KATU News what happened next on I-205.
"When the car behind me hit me, he had a bunch of lumber on his truck that went through my back windshield, into and through and around the steering wheel and almost through the glass in the front," he said.
Comstock described that the wood from the lumber scraped his head and nearly took it off. After removing himself from the car, he noticed the paramedics had arrived on the scene. He began to take pictures of himself and the scene as the EMT's wondered if he was alright. At the hospital, he was given a Tylenol, a tetanus shot and a clean bill of health. He was also advised to buy a lottery ticket.
"I lived through something I shouldn't have ... divine intervention is the only thing I can say because my hand shouldn't be attached, neither should my head," Comstock said.
He also joked that God should also do something about his love life.
"I told God, if he's going to save me from death from this and he doesn't send me a boyfriend, I'm going to call a party foul," he said.
