Lady Gaga: 'ARTPOP' Singer Lashes Out At 'Overflow Of Hate'
Lady Gaga blasted her critics for sending her hate, Billboard reported Wednesday.
Gaga took to Twitter and lashed out at those who have been critical of her. The arrival of her third studio album, ARTPOP, was not as well received as her previous efforts. Its commercial performance has also been below its predecessor, Born This Way. The former album opened with over 1 million in sales as it was aided by an Amazon 99 cent sale. ARTPOP opened at #1 on Hot 200 but with sales of 258,000. That modest figure places her as the third highest debut for a woman this year, behind Miley Cyrus' Bangerz (270,000) and Katy Perry's PRISM (286,000).
I put so much love into my music, into my shows, I make it all for you. I'll never understand the overflow of hate sent my way.

Or maybe thats what entertainment is now. It's more fun to point & laugh than appreciate the artist. I'll keep rehearsing my steps #showbiz — Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) November 20, 2013
The Applause singer also took exception to Billboard. She accused the outlet of participating against the smears and “targeting” her. The outlet denied the accusation.
@ladygaga We got nothin' but love for you & all who dare to create. Would love to talk soon, maybe at more than 140 characters? -@bwerde
