CrazySexyCool, the VH1 biopic about R&B girl group TLC, drew big ratings for the network, The New York Daily News reported Tuesday.

The movie was about the origins of the fabled 90's group and its members, Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozanda 'Chill' Thomas and the late, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. The VH1 biopic starred Drew Sidora as T-Boz, Keke Palmer as Chilli and Lil' Mama as Lisa 'Left Eye'. It drew in 4.5 million viewers, making it the network's most watched original movie.

TLC won five Grammy's during their time together which began in the early 90's in Atlanta. They endured many hardships on their way to fame including bad relationships, health issues and the mismanagement of their money. The trio had to file for bankruptcy at the height of their success. The death of Left Eye in 2002 was also a prominent part of the depicition.

Social media went into overdrive on Monday evening during the premiere of the movie. T-Boz and Chilli, the two surviving members of TLC, took to Twitter and offered commentary. However, not everyone was pleased by the movie. Their former manager, Perri "Pebbles" Reid, lashed out over her portrayal as a corrupt exec who defrauded the three women.
