Britney Spears Taking A Break After 'Britney Jean' Album
Britney Spears has announced that she will take some time off after her eighth studio album and Las Vegas residency has run its course, The Huffington Post reported Wednesday.
The Work Bitch singer was a guest on BBC Radio 1 on Tuesday and discussed her upcoming album. She described what it would sound like.
"It's very exciting, and this album is different from any other album I've done," Spears said. "It's very moody and electric and different so, it's pretty cool. It's really nerve-racking cause you spend so much time on it and you've been really dedicated to this album... So it's like my baby coming to life."
Spears, who launched onto the musical scene in 1999, said that she never expected to make it to eight albums. She intended to take a break after this promotional rollout.
"No I never did, I never felt that," before adding, "Never in my wildest dreams... I'll take a break after this one for a while."
Earlier in the week, Spears revealed that her eighth album would be called Britney Jean. She explained the reason behind it.
"It's a personal album and all my family, they always call me Britney Jean," she said. "It's a term of endearment and I just wanted to share that with my fans."
