Drake and Future in $1.5M Feud Over Tour
Drake is involved in a feud with fellow rapper Future to the tune of $1.5 million, Page Six reported Tuesday.
Sources told the site that Future was set to tour with the Nothing Was the same rapper starting this week in Pittsburgh. However, Drake wanted Future kicked off the tour after he gave unflattering comments to Billboard. Erika Ramirez, the writer of the article, took to Twitter and offered snippets where Future was critical of Drake.
"Not only is future's #honest album interesting, so are his thoughts on Drake's #NWTS album," Ramirez wrote. She then went on to quote Future: " 'Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn't grab you. They're not possessive; they don't make you feel the way I do' - Future."
Apparently, Future's manager attempted to have the quotes removed. They insisted the quotes were off the record. The online version of the article remained but Ramirez did not remove her tweets. Drake responded by ordering Drake from the tour.
"He told his agent either Future gets fired, or he'll fire him," a source said.
Future was fired, but negotiations started to bring him back on board. Those plans fell through after both sides made demands. The insider said that Future was now set to sue Drake for lost wages, or about $1.5 million.
