Kanye West Buries The Hatchet With Jimmy Kimmel [VIDEO]
Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel settled their differences, The Huffington Post reported Thursday.
West appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Wednesday evening to call a truce. Last month, West went on a profanity laced rant against the late night host. He was angered that Kimmel mocked an interview that he'd given to the BBC and declared the number one rockstar on the planet. West took offense to Kimmel hiring a child actor to recite his rant and bashed him on Twitter.
However, last night, West was more cordial with Kimmel. He insisted to the audience that their war of words had not been a ploy.
"I'm not running for office," West said. "I'm just here to make good music and make people feel good when they hear my music. When I did that interview, I was really vocal about a lot of things I had been dealing with over the last ten years, when I had put in the classification as just a celebrity."
West insisted that he was beyond just another face in Hollywood. According to the rapper, he transcended that simple definition.
"I'm a creative genius, and there's no other way to word it. I know you're not supposed to say that about yourself. I say things the wrong way a lot of times, but the intention is always positive," he said.
