Teresa and Joe Giudice: "RHONJ' Stars Tell Andy Cohen They Have Never Lived Beyond Their Means
Teresa & Joe Giudice, the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, opened up to Andy Cohen about the legal troubles they are facing, PEOPLE reported Monday.
The embattled couple was indicted on fraud last month for allegedly cheating the government. They are believed to have lied about their sources of revenue and engaging in various types of fraud such as mail and bankruptcy. They applied for government assistance but did not disclose all of their finances according to court documents.
The duo face up to 15 years in prison and Joe could be deported back to Italy. They appeared on Cohen's Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, Sept. 28 and denied any wrongdoing.
"It's devastating," Teresa, 41, said. "I have anxiety and sleepless nights. I used to sleep like a baby, now I get up."
Teresa called herself the rock of their family which includes four daughters. She vowed to remain strong.
"I'm a big girl and I have an attorney and we are going to fight this," she said.
Joe was just as passionate in defense of his family. He swore that they had never lived beyond their means.
"Whatever I could afford to buy I would buy. We work hard, so what, we are allowed to make money. It's part of that's what we do, I'm a business man and I make money," he said.
