Two weeks ago, she released the tune Dark Horse which featured rapper Juicy J. The latest cut has elements of disco. Some of the lyrics include:
“There's disco paradise, even heaven is jealous of our love / Yes, we make angels cry, raining down on earth from up above."
The singles will be from her forthcoming album Prism due Oct. 12. The first track, Roar, released on Aug. 12, proved to be a hit for the 28-year-old pop singer. In September, Roar became Perry’s eighth #1 single on Billboard Hot 100. Roar accomplished the feat of dethroning Thicke by selling 448,000 in downloads for the week ending Sept. 1. Perry's sales were helped by her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. To date, Roar has sold close to 2 million since its release.
