Britney Spears' Las Vegas Residency Making 'History', Manager Says
Tickets to Britney Spears Las Vegas residency are selling out, E! News reported Tuesday.
There had been reports circulating that tickets to Spears' Britney: Piece of Me shows were underperforming and not selling out fast enough. Larry Rudolph, her manager, debunked those criticisms. He said nothing could be further from the truth.
"This is the best-selling show in the history of Vegas," he said. "We have a great thing going here. We have a great show we're putting together. We have nothing but greenlights ahead of us. We have amazing sales."
Rudolph also added that the higher end tickets to the shows sold out "spontaneously". His claims were supported by Caesars Entertainment chief marketing officer Tariq Shaukat. He was more than pleased by the numbers that were being posted by the Work Bitch singer.
"As we suspected, ticket demand for Britney Spears' headlining residency at Planet Hollywood has been extraordinary," Shaukat said in a statement released Tuesday. "This is as strong an on-sale performance as we've seen for any of our iconic Las Vegas headliner shows."
Spears recently commented to Ryan Seacrest on her two year residency that is set to begin Dec. 27. She will perform 50 shows in 2014 and 2015.
"We are going to have all the works-snow, water, rain, everything," she said. "Every time I do a show, I like to really bring it. I love to put on a show that will really entertain fans. We want the feeling that fans will be in the show with me. We're going to have a cool set-up for them with a party vibe so they are really there with me."
