Lindsay Lohan: Mother Dina Writing a Memoir
Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina, will be penning a memoir according to E! News.
Birdstreet Books, Inc announced on Tuesday that the 51-year-old would scribe a story that would put to rest misinformation and rumors about her. Dina wanted the opportunity to respond to what the publisher called unsubstantiated tabloid stories by the tabloids.
"Dina feels the public has often misunderstood her life and she has worked diligently over the past year to write this book, proving her dedication to truthfully and fairly represent herself and her children," a spokesperson for the publisher said.
Dina will also detail the family's struggles as daughter Lindsay has triumphed and stumbled in the limelight. The 27-year-old Mean Girls actress rose to fame as a teenager but has faltered as an adult. She completed her sixth stay in rehab this past summer.
"By taking readers behind the scenes into her and her family's intimate lives, this book is the ultimate catharsis for a mom who admits she made mistakes, asks for forgiveness and finds her way back to herself in spite of living life under the constant prying eyes of a headline hungry society," the statement continued.
There was no mention if Dina's recent DUI would be addressed. The book is expected this winter.
