Kelly Osbourne Fashion Line For Plus Size Women
Kelly Osbourne will be starting her own fashion line for plus size women, US Weekly reported Wednesday.
In September, Osbourne spoke of her desire to branch out as a designer. During an Aug. 24 function at Hollywood's BeautyCon L.A. Summit, she explained that it had been the most exciting time in her life. She taken meetings where her ideas had been green lit.
"When I sat down in this meeting and they said, 'Yes, you have creative control and of course you can do plus size,' I was like, 'It's happening!'", she said.
The 28-year-old said that the clothing would reflect her personality. She has been known to be brash, assertive and comfortable with pushing the boundaries. However, she felt that each person could find something to wear.
"It still has to be very me -- quirky," she explained. "[But] that's me, so I have to [also] have something slightly normal."
Osbourne further explained the importance of her line, especially since she used to be overweight. She was often teased for her appearance. She would also have trouble finding clothes in her size that appealed to her tastes.
"When I lost weight and started to wear the clothes I always wanted to wear but didn't fit into, that's when [my perception within the industry] really started to change. It did give me a bit of a bittersweet feeling towards the fashion world," she said.
