"It's terrible," Rivera answered when asked what the mood of the Glee set. Just last week, the Glee cast already finished the special tribute dedicated to Monteith who was discovered dead in a Vancouver hotel in July.
Rivere further explained that filming the tribute episode helped her in coping with the death of her co-actor. The 26-year-old actress released a statement on July 15, "The entire Glee family and I are deeply saddened by this tragedy. Cory was and always will be a part of my own family and a good friend. He was a special part of this world and will forever be missed. My heart goes out to Cory's family and Lea . . . "
Lea Michele, Monteith's girlfriend in the real and reel word, posted a photo from the Glee set on August 23 where she was wearing a "Finn" necklace.
After the actor's death, many people were curious as to how the Glee writers will handle the script. Ryan Murphy said to Deadline, "At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose -- that was something we had considered. But we have decided that we're not going to have him pass from that."
