Lindsay Lohan's much hyped interview with Oprah Winfrey failed to deliver in the ratings according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lohan sat down with Winfrey four days after she left court ordered rehab. The episode aired on Sunday, August 18. She spoke about her troubles with the law. She also understood why many would not be inclined to give her another chance.

"What was chaotic to other people in the outside looking in was normal," she said. "There is something to be said about me learning to be comfortable with things just being OK."

Despite the many commercials promoting the event, the interview was not much if a ratings draw. The one hour OWN interview drew only 892,000 viewers  during the 9 p.m. telecast and almost half of that during an encore. That presentation had 504,000 viewers.

Winfrey's other high profile interviews have had more viewership. In March 2012, Winfrey's interview with Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Christina, had 3.5 million. Lance Armstrong's sit down had 3.2 million in January. Last summer, Rihanna's exchange with Winfrey averaged 2.5 million.

Lohan will next appear on the OWN network next year. The Mean Girls actress will also star in a 8 part documentary series for the channel. It will depict her life since rehab. She was reportedly paid $2 million for the undertaking.
