Simon Cowell Speaks About Baby News For the First Time 'I'm Proud to be a Dad' [VIDEO]
Simon Cowell confirmed rumors that he is having a child during an interview with the BBC Tuesday at the red carpet of the London premiere of One Direction's documentary This is Us.
Wearing sunglasses and a black suit, Cowell told the BBC: "I'm proud to be a dad." Watch the Interview Here.
"It's something I hadn't thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it," he added.
Cowell is expecting a baby with his best friend's wife Lauren Silverman. This is the first time Cowell talks about the baby news in public.
Silverman and her husband Andrew Silverman, are reportedly getting divorced and trying to reach an "amicable resolution," according to a source that spoke to the Daily Mail.
The Silverman's have a 7-year-old son called Adam.
According to the Daily Mail, Cowell agreed to cover for Andrew's legal costs if Andrew drops an adultery claim to favor a no contest divorce. Under tearms stated on their pre-nup agreement, Lauren is expected to receive between $3 and $4 million in the divorce, reports the paper.
