Kris Jenner and Mother-in-law Esther Jenner Finally Make Up With Each Other
Even celebrities have trouble getting along with their mother-in-law.
Bruce Jenner had to pull some strings in order to get wife Kris Jenner and mom Esther Jenner finally make up with each other on the episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians last Sunday, August 18.
Since the couple married in April 1991, Kris never had a smooth relationship with her mother-in-law. Hoping that the two would finally make up, Bruce asked Kris if she would like to go to Idaho for the 87th birthday celebration of her mother-in-law.
In which Kris answered: "The last time she came to my home, I made her dinner, I made her brownies, I made her pasta, my favorite soup, I put flowers in her room. I made her feel like a princess. She doesn't even like me. Why would I go visit somebody who can't stand me?"
Bruce was sad with this reply and asked his stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian for help. Kardashian advised that Bruce should just keep telling Kris how important the visit is for him. Then, Bruce decided to fly his mother to their house however Kris still would not promise to spend time with her mother-in-law saying, "I'm not sure about my schedule."
At the family dinner, the two matriarchs still weren't able to talk and be comfortable with each other. Kris then excused herself saying that she would need to go to bed early.
Bruce will not give up and picked up his mom from her hotel and then forced Kris to have a one-on-one talk with her mother-in-law.
"We haven't been too close in any way," Esther said. "I'm so sorry for that."
"It was very complicated I think," Kris replied. "Just a lot of personalities in the mix and stuff going on."
Then the two talked and finally reconciled. Kris confessed to the camera, "Wow, I've waited 23 years for this. Better late than never!"
