Lady Gaga Releases 'Applause' Video
Lady Gaga released the video for her new single Applause on Monday.
The video premiered on Good Morning America where Gaga was also interviewed. According to Billboard, the video was described as being very vivid in color and even featured the 27-year-old singer in a birdcage.
"I'm happy it's in the world," Gaga said during her appearance on GMA.
During the interview, Gaga also discussed how her hip injury impacted her. She has been sidelined since February after being forced to cancel her Born This Way Ball tour.
"I couldn't do anything else, but create," she said. "I couldn't dance. I couldn't walk. I couldn't anything. I sat on the couch and I worked every day and I wrote all my ideas down and I obsessed, obsessed about the music."
Gaga did not discuss her ongoing feud with blogger Perez Hilton. Over the weekend, she accused her former friend of being a stalker and harassing her in a series of tweets. She claimed that Hilton had been sending her menacing messages. One of the taunts included Hilton declaring that Gaga had received her "karma" following her surgery.
Gaga is expected to open this Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards which are being held at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn.
