Kanye West and Kim Kardashian: Rapper Wants North West On Vogue Cover?
Kanye West wants his daughter, North West, to be unveiled on the cover of Vogue, but Editor in Chief Anna Wintour is allegedly not thrilled with the idea.
RadarOnline reported Tuesday that the famed fashionista was resistant to the idea of placing Kim Kardashian on her fashion bible. According to a source, she was being given a hard pitch by West who is a fan of fashion himself. However, Wintour was said not to be a personal fan of the reality star and his campaigning for the slot has turned into a struggle.
"It's also pretty well-known that Anna is NO fan of Kim or any reality star appearing in the pages of the magazine. Kanye is determined to make sure baby North isn't photographed by paparazzi then splashed across the world. He knows what he wants - a professional photographer and the cover of Vogue - nothing else," the source said.
Kardashian has kept a low profile since she gave birth in June. One of her last major public appearances before North was born was at the MET gala in May. Kardashian was ridiculed for appearing at the event, which Wintour helped organize, in a floral print dress. Nonetheless, West felt as though he would be able to convince Wintour since Kardashian has proven to be a top seller on newsstands.
