Katy Perry: 'Roar' Sounds Similar to Sara Bareilles 'Brave' [AUDIO]

Katy Perry has been accused of plagiarizing another artist with her new song, Roar.

Perry officially released the lead single from her forthcoming album, Prism, on Monday. The song leaked over the weekend to much fanfare. The pop power anthem immediately drew comparisons to the song Brave by Sara Bareilles. Social media immediately began to accuse the Teenage Dream singer of being a ripoff artist.

Perry did not address the controversy on Twitter. Instead, she spent much of the day tweeting her fans about the success of the song. Roar has reached the #1 position in 20 countries on iTunes since its release. Perry thanked her fanbase for the strong start. The song is also expected to bow on the Hot 100 next week, spurred by radio airplay.
