'General Hospital' News: Lisa LoCicero Discusses Solivia and Kelly Sullivan Exit From Soap Opera
Lisa LoCicero gave an interview to On Air Soaps about the future of Olivia and Sonny on General Hospital.
The website published LoCicero's comments on August 11. The actress, who has played Olivia Falconeri since 2008, is once again becoming a central character on the ABC daytime drama. The show has been hinting at the possibility that Olivia and Sonny, the father of her son, would be reunited after many years apart. LoCicero said she was ready to see the romance between the former teenage sweethearts unfold on screen.
"I think there is a lot of interesting stuff that they could explore with Olivia and Sonny. Certainly, she knows him longer, and understands him probably better in a certain sense, and she forgave him for the most unforgivable thing that you could ever do," she said.
LoCicero also discussed the impending exit of Kelly Sullivan as Connie who will last air this month. LoCicero said she was devastaed to see her co-star leave. She was also fearful that fans would hold her responsible. The character of Connie was a potential spoiler between Olivia and Sonny, affectinoately known as Solivia.
"I am sure if I had gone and looked at the message boards that day, I am sure it would have said, "She should go f**k herself." It was completely out of my control," the actress said.
Sullivan tweeted her feelings on July 22 about how she felt about leaving the show and her co-stars.
