Lea Michele will be drawing from her pain in the upcoming season of Glee.

Michele is still mourning the death of Cory Monteith, her boyfriend of one year. Monteith, who is also the love interest of Michele in the Glee sitcom, will be remembered in the show through a song written by  Michele herself.

Michele, who stars as Rachel Berry in the show, returned to the set of Glee to record the song not long after Monteith's death. Monteith died of drug overdose at the young age of 31.

Michele tweeted on August 5, "Thank you Alex Anders an Adam Anders for a great recording session today . . . You guys are the best. Couldn't have picked a more beautiful & perfect song to start the year with."

Monteith was found dead on July 13 in a Vancouver hotel. Officials confirmed that it was a death caused by a  heroin overdose mixed with alcohol. The Glee actor, who rose to fame as Finn Hudson, had finished his rehab stint a few months before his death. A source close to Michele said that Michele did not know about Monteith's relapse. The source added that Michele was "inconsolable" after knowing the death of her boyfriend.

Many fans were wondering about what will happen to Glee following Monteith's death. Michele thought that it was best for everyone to come back to the set.

The source told Us Weekly that, "She [Michele] was very adamant that she thought it was best for the cast and crew to get back together sooner [rather] than later. Cory was so beloved that she felt people really needed to be together in this time. So we sort of followed her lead."

The actress also tweeted about her return to set on Aug. 1, "First day of glee today . . . And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I've missed her so much."

Glee will give a tribute to the death of Monteith in its third episode. The song composed by Michele will be heard in the tribute.
