Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth Relationship: Couples Therapy?
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are reportedly in couples therapy to save their relationship.
The couple announced their engagement in early June 2012. However, by May of this year, there were reports that they have split already. But in June, the two were supposedly back together again.
The on-again-off-again couple had a rough time with their relationship. After getting engaged a year ago, the couple has faced numerous reports of a breakup. And now, Cyrus and Hemsworth are seeking couples therapy according to Perez Hilton. The two really want to work things out according to a close friend.
Cyrus' parents, Bill Ray and Tish, did couples therapy themselves the first time they talked about divorcing. The sessions resulted in them giving their marriage another shot.
Perez Hilton also commented on the Miley and Hemsworth's rocky relationship by saying that perhaps the Hunger Games actor is "threatened" by his fiancee's success. He cited "friends of Miley" who said the We Can't Stop singer is always going "above and beyond" to visit him when he is working and "never vice versa."
The couple has been fighting for a while because of lack of communication, Hollywood Life reported.
She just visited him in Canada where he is taping a movie. Still, an insider told the Hollywood Life that the reason their relationship is experiencing trouble is due to the fact that they do not spend a lot of time together. Most of the time, the two are very busy with their respective careers. But Miley is more bothered than Hemsworth about the amount of time they spend apart from each other.
"Miley clearly feels her relationship with Liam is worth saving, but it seems like he's not willing to put in the time and energy it takes to make a relationship work," the source said. "The time apart is taking a huge toll but what can they do? Their careers are both exploding right now and neither one of them want to give that up. Liam won't and Miley sure as hell won't either."
The couple met on the set of their 2010 film The Last Song, in which they co-starred as lovers.
