Veronica Mars Movie Trailer Premieres at Comic-Con

Loads of fans of the highly-anticipated Veronica Mars moviewere elated as they get to see a sneak peek at Comic-Con. All of what's happening was made possible by a record-breaking $5.7 million of donationsthat started with the Kickstarter campaign.

Kristen Bell, the series' star, appreciates the support of the fans very much,

The 33-year-old actress in a behind-the-scenes interview said, 'Fans are cool, but Veronica Mars fans are awesome.'

The star went on to give a rundown of the storyline for the movie.

The movie is set 10 years after Veronica left Neptune High as she returns for the class reunion.

Bell was joined by the rest of the cast of the private eye drama series. The series is about a then-teenage sleuth who cracked a different case each week while working to solve  more complex mystery of the season.

Rob Thomas, the creator, revealed that it has a Godfather III theme to the movie.

The clip revealed that Veronica has not been working as a private detective since the last time the avid fans saw her on TV. In fact, this is an important aspect of the movie, Veronica goes back to the past she thought she already left behind.

Veronica is now a lawyer and is set for an interview at a law firm with a prospective employer who is played by Jamie Lee Curtis.

Avid tweeter Bell was enthusiastic over the trailer with an animated tweet on her Twitter account: "'#veronicamars is trending #1 on twitter right now!!!! Go Go Gadget Fan base!!!!!'

The Veronica Mars film opens in the cinemas in 2014.
