'Girls': Soundtrack Of Our Generation

HBO's hit show "Girls" has entered the homes of 20-somethings like a plague ... but a good plague! Creator Lena Dunham has somehow managed to capture the life of 'Girls' in one aspect or another. Despite some scenes of the show seeming ridiculous, I have to say they're not all actually too far off from being realistic.

As much as you want to admit that you never had your stomach rolls touched, or ate in the bath tub, or you may even not want to own up to being financially dependent upon your parents ... we can all relate to some part of Lena's plot and the problematic issues that being a 'Girl' entails.

"Girls" has shown diversity in many aspects but one especially is the music.

The "Girls" soundtrack is the soundtrack to our generation. Or A soundtrack ... to A generation.

It really fit's the scenes and helps round the show into the magnificent creation it is.

Dunham said, "I make playlists to write by and listen to as I head to set in the morning and I experiment in editing with songs that the characters would love and that accurately reflect their struggles."

I immediatly think of Jessa's character loosing the children she's babysitting to the song "Who's Ya Daddy" by Juvenile.

"Girls - Volume 1" was the first album to be released and with this upcoming season already having AMAZING songs, I'm sure Volume 2 will be successful.

Here are some of my favs from Season 1 & 2:

1. Fiest - I Feel It All
2. Robyn - Dancing On My Own
3. Mark Ronson & The Business Intl - Bang Bang Bang
4. Fleet Foxes - Montezuma
5. Oh Land - White Nights
6. Eve - Tambourine
7. Britney Spears - Till The World Ends (White Sea Extended Club)
8. Belle & Sebastian - I Don't Love Anyone
9. Jewel - Hands
10. & lastly Icona Pop - I Love It Ft. Charli XCX
