Sharon Osbourne Rips Gaga For Calling Daughter Kelly A Bully

By Melissa Siegel | Jan 11, 2013 02:17 PM EST

Sharon Osbourne ripped Lady Gaga on her Facebook page after the "Born This Way" singer called Osbourne's daughter, Kelly, a "bully" in an open letter.

"By your actions to Kelly right now, you have shown me that you are nothing more than a publicity seeking hypocrite and an attention seeker," Osbourne wrote, per TMZ.

According to EW.com, the feud began when Kelly Osbourne commented on Gaga's weight gain during an episode of "Fashion Police."

"I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path." Gaga wrote on littlemonsters.com. "Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment and rating people's beauty against one another. 'Appearance' is the most used reason for bullying in the world."

Sharon Osbourne then ripped Gaga in response, saying that the singer did not need to criticize Kelly Osbourne in such a public forum.

"You know it would have been much more dignified of you to do this privately," Sharon Osbourne wrote. "I am calling you a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticizing Kelly in your open letter.  Are you so desperate that you needed to make this public?"

Osbourne also blamed Gaga for the steady stream of negative comments that Kelly Osbourne has received since her public criticism of the pop star. This includes several death threats and notes telling Kelly Osbourne to "kill herself," per US Weekly.

"I reached out to him [Gaga's manager] as Kelly's manager and mother to ask him if you could address your 'little monster' fans and stop them from writing libelous, slanderous and vile comments about my family, including death threats to Kelly," Sharon Osbourne wrote.

Sharon Osbourne's ripping of Lady Gaga even included commentary on the star's famous fashion choices.

"When I saw you wear a dress made out of raw meat, I was sickened," Osbourne wrote, per E! Online. "When I see you wearing fur, and using it as a fashion statement, the fact that defenseless animals have been killed so you can get your picture in the press is abhorrent to me. Shouldn't you be teaching your 'little monster' fans to respect animals and life?"
