Happy Birthday David Bowie! Glam Rock God Gifts Fan With New Song & Upcoming Album--Watch The Music Video
January 8th, also known as David Bowie's birthday, should be an international holiday. On the same day he turned 66, David Robert Jones (AKA Ziggy Stardust) announced his first album in 10 years and released a new single and music video.
"The Next Day" is set for release in early March, and will be David Bowie's 30th studio album. The first single, "Where Are We Now" is already out along with a pretty freak music video (even by Bowie standards). Check it out:
Like it or love it (I'm leaning towards love it after a second viewing) Bowie is back and in typical recluse fashion he's revealed that he has no intention of doing any live concerts to promote "The Next Day" (no interviews with the press either).
"Throwing shadows and avoiding the industry treadmill is very David Bowie despite his extraordinary track record that includes album sales in excess of 130m, not to mention his massive contributions in the area of art, fashion, style, sexual exploration, and social commentary," an agent of Bowie (I mean a Columbia press agent) told The Guardian.
