Who Won 'The Voice'? Cassadee Pope Won Season 3 After Duet with Avril Lavigne [VIDEO]
Who won 'The Voice' last night? If you've been tracking the iTunes charts it should come as no surprise to find out that the winner is Cassadee Pope. She won 'The Voice' last night after a sizzling duet with Avril Lavigne on Lavigne's song 'I'm With You.' Cassadee Pope, quit her band Hey Monday to compete on the show, was coached by country star Blake Shelton. Cassadee Pope was gushing on Twitter last night after she was the one who won 'The Voice.'
Blake Shelton was gushing about his protégé too. He told Us Weekly that although Cassadee Pope is hard on herself, she shouldn't be.
"First of all, I don't know anybody who has ever beat themselves up more than Cassadee does, week after week," he told Us. "Last week she did 'Stupid Boy,' and she was like, 'Oh my god, it sucked so bad. It's over. It's over.' And I was like, 'Really?!' And I held up my phone and she was like, number one on iTunes and dominated, and it was like, 'Well, what are you talking about?'"
What do you do next if you're the one who won 'The Voice'? For Cassadee Pope, the answer is 'whatever I want.'
"I would love to do the pop-rock thing that I've been wanting to do but I also know that I've gained some amazing country fans and I know how hard it is to get into that world, so I would add a little country element to it," she told US Weekly. "I used to cover country music a lot when I was a kid so it's a part of me and it's kind of stylistically part of my voice somehow."
