'Glee' Actress Lea Michele Becomes The Newest Face Of L’oreal Paris
No doubt Lea Michele, 26, is feeling pretty gleeful after being named the newest face of L'oreal Paris.
"I'm overjoyed and beyond honored to be a part of the L'Oréal Paris family," an elated Michele told People Magazine. "I'm such a fan of L'Oréal Paris not just for all of their amazing products, but for what they stand for. I'm so thankful to be a part of a television show that promotes inner beauty and self-worth. Now to be a part of this amazing family that expresses the same amazing message is such an honor."
Adding:"This is such a dream come true."
L'Oréal Paris USA president Karen T. Fondu is excited about adding Michele to her celebrity rota which included Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and a slew of other beauties.
"A beautiful woman inside and out, Lea truly exemplifies our brand philosophy, 'Because You're Worth It," Fondu said in a released statement. "We are so honored to welcome her as a member of the family."
Lea - who has always been a fan of wearing makeup has worn the L'oreal brand for many years.
"Growing up on stage, I was introduced to makeup at a young age and I will never forget the first time I tried on a L'Oréal Paris iconic lipstick," Michele mused. "It was instant glamour, and I've been hooked ever since."
Michele embodied L'oreal's advertising slogan (Because I'm Worth It) at a very young age, despite ongoing pressures to change her appearance.
"When I was 15, my mother and I went to meet a manager who said, 'You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you,'" Michele told Allure Magazine. "My mother would say to me, 'Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You're not getting a nose job.' And this was before I really even knew who Barbra was. I just knew that she was, like, the messiah for girls like me."
The ads will begin airing in early 2013.
The "Glee" starlet confirmed her rumored relationship to co-star Cory Monteith, 30, in late August when they showed up hand-in-hand at the Do Something Awards in Santa Monica, Calif.
"I love working with Cory, I always have," she said at the show's season 4 premiere at Paramount Studios in L.A. "He really, really inspires me, and he motivates me and I think he's just so talented."
