Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively Are Married
They fooled us all.
According to E! News, Ryan Reynolds, 35, and Blake Lively, 25, got married Sunday night in a secret ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., just outside of Charleston.
The reception was held in the concave of a white tent and the newlyweds were serenaded by Lively's close friend, Florence Welch of "Florence and the Machine." People magazine is reporting Bette Midler also performed at the the hush-hush nuptial and was spotted earlier this weekend having lunch with Lively's mother and sister.
There was no mention of Lively's wedding gown, but we're sure the leggy "Gossip Girl" fashionista looked sublime, as always. We wonder which designers received the honors? She is especially fond of Marc Jacobs, Phillip Lim, Chloé, and Chanel.
Local radio station 95.1 FM, first broke the news of the clandestine ceremony by tweeting, "Hold up, there's another story that it's Ryan Reynolds and he married Blake Lively at the Cotton Docks today!"
"A few days ago, I heard Ryan was back in town. Then today, lots of signs went up at Boone Hall Plantation stating that it was holding a private event, so no one could get into the area. I also started hearing rumors that a celebrity wedding was taking place." Radio personality Kelly Gukanovich confirmed.
"I am being told there were around 60 people at the event and that a local restaurant may have catered it. Ryan has always loved it here and when he got together with Blake, he started to bring her here, too."
The couple have been dating since last fall and are reportedly living together in a $2 million, five-bedroom, colonial-style home in Bedford, N.Y.
Reynolds was married to actress Scarlett Johanson and filed for divorce two years later, citing irreconcilable differences. Lively has romanced modelizer Leonardo Dicaprio and her "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley. This is her first marriage.
Congratulations to the happy couple.
