He Can’t Hide Forever: Robert Pattinson To Attend ‘Cosmopolis’ Premiere In New York
We recently learned Robert Pattinson, 26, has been cooped up in Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon's Ojai, Calif., estate since news broke that Kristen Stewart, 22, his girlfriend of three years, cheated on him.
However, the "Twilight" hunk will be forced to face the music very soon as his latest movie, "Cosmopolis," is set to hit theaters Aug. 17. Rumors spread rampant that he had cancelled all appearances for the movie, but he will indeed show up to perform his professional duties.
"Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting," his rep said in a statement on Wednesday. "No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."
Since "Cosmopolis" debuted in Cannes earlier this year, it has received rave reviews.
"After Water for Elephants it remains to be seen whether Pattinson's teen following really is willing to follow him anywhere. But Cosmopolis does prove that he has the chops, and he parlays his cult persona beautifully into the spoiled, demanding Packer," wrote Empire Online. "Lean and spiky-with his clean white shirt he resembles a groomed Sid Vicious-Pattinson nails a difficult part almost perfectly."
While everyone seems to have chosen a side, their "Twilight" co-star, Ashley Greene, has opted to stay neutral. "I'm not taking sides," she told Nylon magazine in an interview for their August issue.
Pattinson must be cringing at the thought of doing publicity for the final installment of "Breaking Dawn." The poor guy will just have to grit and bear it.
