Jennifer Aniston Takes On Another Dowdy Role
Jennifer Aniston is currently shooting her latest movie "We're The Millers," in Wilmington, NC. Starring alongside her are co-stars Jason Sudeikis and Julia Robert's niece, Emma Roberts.
SO happy to be a part of We're The Millers!! Dream come true to work with Jennifer Aniston!" said an excited Roberts.
As reported by People magazine, "Aniston plays a prostitute hired by an ex-drug dealer - played by her Horrible Bosses costar, Jason Sudeikis - to pose as his wife. The fake family attempts to move a shipment of marijuana from the U.S. to Mexico."
In a string of released photographs, the usually well-dressed Aniston looked rather dowdy on set. Sporting a sleeveless eyelet blouse, khakis, white sneakers, and a small cross shoulder bag. But this isn't the first role Aniston has been made to shed her sexy Hollywood image. In 2002, she starred in the dark comedy drama, "The Good Girl," as a lowly discount clerk with no discernible style, who has an affair with a disturbed stock boy, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
"It's soulful and unslick, and that's apparently just what [Aniston] as always needed to grow into a movie career," Orlando Sentinel critic Jay Boyar wrote about Aniston's performance in "The Good Girl."
The former "Friends" star is always willing to throw herself into a new character, however, she does maintain her humor about how her roles will be perceived by the public. "People laugh at me. Sometimes I know why, and sometimes I don't. But I can pretty much find humor in anything. That is a necessary part of life. I don't want to say laughter is healing, because it sounds corny, but it's a release." She said in a Harper's Bazaar interview.
