Does Jessica Simpson Have A Deadline To Shed Her Post-Pregnancy Weight?

Motherhood has given Jessica Simpson a new found maturity. The country crooner who seemed fixated on her weight during her teeny bopper heyday has now adopted a healthier lifestyle.

"For me, I really want to do something that is a lifestyle," Simpson said. "In the past I've been known to yo-yo diet."

However, Simpson more than indulged her cravings while pregnant with daughter, Maxwell Drew, no doubt a last hurrah to her unhealthy diets. "I had a buttered Pop Tart this morning," she revealed to 'Extra' host Mario Lopez. "I'm eating a lot of stuff that I ate in my childhood. Kraft Mac n' Cheese, Pop Tarts, Cap'n Crunch. Everything's filled with sugar."

The new mother is clearly willing to maintain her new weight loss regimen. "She understands it's a process," one of her confidants reported to People magazine, also adding that she's "working very hard and she's excited."

The blonde bombshell has put all those rumors regarding her contract with Weight Watchers to rest.  

"Just so everyone knows...Weight Watchers hasn't put ANY pressure on me!" she tweeted. "I'm trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!"

A spokesperson for Weight Watchers echoed Simpson's sentiment. "Weight Watchers is in it for the long haul "We're with her 100 percent as she develops a whole new relationship with food and activity."
