Teen Mom Recap: Everything Changes
This week on "Teen Mom" -- Bentley's is using big words, Tyler can't stop worrying about Butch, Amber hasn't quite worked out her anger issues and poor, poor Stich gets an unwelcome makeover.
Maci
Bentley is almost three, and now that his vocabulary is expanding (hysterical is impressive for a two -year-old) Maci thinks it might be time for him to go to preschool. With Kyle supportively by her side, she brings Bentley to visit a preschool where she learns at not quite three that Bentley's ready to start learning the days of the week, Spanish, colors, and that his parents are completely incapable of agreeing on anything. Maci thinks she should bring Bentley to school on one of her custody days and Ryan should bring him in on one of his, but Ryan scoffs at the idea of preschool (a scoff/spit hybrid). He agrees to think about it, but in the car with his new girlfriend and later in his mom's kitchen he makes it clear he has no intention of participating in the first steps of his son's formal education.
Amber
After a nice visit with Gary and Leah, Amber is more than ready to come home from rehab. Gary thinks she should finish out her entire session, especially after she fights with another patient during a group session. Her counselor agrees, pointing out the fact that her instinct to fight is what they've been trying to rid her of. Back at Gary's his mom asks him if he's willing to wait for Amber while she deals with her issues, and he insists that he'll be waiting no matter how long it takes. Leah adorably runs around in an adorable dress while the drama is discussed. During a therapy session with a hypnotherapist Amber discovers she's lashing out at people because she's in pain, just like her dad did to deal with the death of her baby sister. In the end she decides to stay in rehab and re-commit to getting better.
Farrah
Farrah's mom flies in for a visit, and to keep things festive, Farrah and her sister buy her a bright blue wig to wear. She gamely puts it on but isn't happy about it, believing it's some kind of dig at her wig-less appearance. Farrah and her sister step out to do some errands leaving Sophia and their dog Stich with their mom. Exhausted from the flight she falls asleep, leaving Sophia unsupervised and able to paint poor Stich with bright pink nail polish. When the girls come home they get super mad at their mom who's apologetic but angered by their extreme reaction. Later at lunch a fight between the girls and their mom breaks out, leaving them yelling and shooting passive aggressive looks over their sushi. Despite their assertions that their mom is an unfit, incompetent mother, the girls leave her in charge of Sophia yet again so they can enjoy a night out. You know what they say, the worst parents make the best babysitters?
Catelynn
Catelynn and Tyler have agreed to let Butch stay with them for six months while he finishes his parole, but the trailer park where they live rejects him because of his criminal record. Catelynn and Tyler's mom seem relieved that Tyler won't have to keep constant tabs on his dad's whereabouts, but Tyler still seems stressed out over Butch's living situation. With Butch out of the house Catelynn's able to invite her mom over, though they mostly talk about her mom's excitement over seeing Butch once his parole is over.
