Justin Bieber Is Being Sued
Most concertgoers expect a certain level of noise at their music events, especially if the artist has a fan base that expresses their devotion through shouts and shrieks. At least one woman who attended a Justin Bieber concert, however, felt the noise at his concert was dangerously high. The woman in question is suing the eighteen-year-old pop singer claiming the deafening roar of sound at his Oregon's Rose Quarter Arena concert in 2010 did some permanent damage to her hearing.
The complainant claims to have developed two conditions that impair her hearing: a constant ringing in her ears and a sensitivity to certain tones. The woman is seeking $9.23 million dollars in damages from the Biebs after living with these hearing problems for two years.
The woman is alleging that when Bieber flew over the audience during his concert his adoring fans gave way to screams of excitement, calling the gondola he was in while over the crowds a "sound conductor."
Whether her claim will hold up in court is anyone's guess, though it's interesting that she's citing the screaming fans -- not a pulsing speaker -- as the source of her injury.
