Katie Holmes Set to Star In Movie About Single Mom
Katie Holmes, who has filed for divorce from her mega-superstar husband, Tom Cruise, has been trying to achieve some kind of normalcy with daughter, Suri, 6, by using the streets of New York City as her personal stomping ground. She's been spotted visiting her divorce lawyer, going to the museum, and noshing on ice cream cones at "Sundaes and Cones," of course, with her burly bodyguards in tow.
"Katie looked happy and was friendly to the customers and staff while Suri sat on her mom's lap," an observer at the East Village ice cream shop remarked. "The pair smiled at each other and licked their way through a nighttime snack."
The newly single mother is about to get a whole lot busier because she is poised to start filming her latest flick, "Molly." A project she co-wrote and co-produced about a single mother and her child, coincidence?
Shooting will commence as early as next week, and will conclude in August.
Holmes, has just finished shooting Anton Chekhov's The Seagull in May, and will be starring in Responsible Adults, with "Gossip Girl," hunk, Chase Crawford in the fall.
Proving that she can indeed do it all, the Toledo, Ohio native, will be launching her first runway show at New York's Fashion Week for her clothing line, Holmes & Yang.
Single mother, movie star, fashion designer, are we missing anything?
