Singer Adele announced today that she is expecting her first child with Simon Konecki.

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," Adele wrote in a post on her website titled, "I've Got Some News."

"I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"

This will be the first child for Adele, who has been dating Konecki since January. Konecki has a daughter from a previous marriage.
