Casey Anthony Lawyer Writes Tell-All! What Does Jose Baez Reveal?
Casey Anthony's name is still making headlines, but this time it's thanks to her lawyer, Jose Baez. Baez represented Casey for the heartbreaking case surrounding the death of her daughter Caylee. Now, the lawyer is opening up on the time he spent with Casey in a new tell-all book -- "Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story."
Don't expect Baez to reveal if he thought the Floridian was guilty or innocent in the death of her young daughter. For the lawyer, the tell-all is about the "serious mental illnesses" that plague his client.
According to Baez, Casey, 26, who was acquitted of murdering 2-year-old daughter Caylee, was living in a "fantasy world." His book explains that detectives investigating the murder should have realized that the mother had "serious mental health issues."
One situation that stands out in Baez' mind is the time when Casey brought detectives to her "place of work," Universal Studios. The lawyer claims that the authorities should have "stopped and realized, 'Wait a minute, we're not dealing with someone who is playing with a full deck.'"
"Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story" will also touch on the woman's alleged sexual abuse, along with the lawyer's depression while involved with the case.
"I wrote this book because there was so much that people didn't know, and still don't know," The Inquisitr reports Baez explained of his book. "This book is more than 420 pages of nothing by the inside story. I think people's reaction will be surprised at how much they don't know. My goal wasn't to change anyone's minds, it will be because [they learned] more facts.
The 421-page book will be released July 3, reports the Atlantic Wire.
