B.J. Novak Will No Longer Be A Series Regular On 'The Office'
B.J. Novak is leaving "The Office" as a regular. Novak will make recurring appearances on the comedy, but will no longer be a full-time regular on the series.
Novak has been a member of the cast and a writer on "The Office" since beginning of the show. in addition to making guest appearances on the show, Novak could also write and direct some episodes as well.
"The Office" will see a number of changes when it returns for season 9. Mindy Kaling is leaving the series for her own show, "The Mindy Project." James Spader is leaving and Catherine Tate is joining as a series regular. Paul Lieberstein, who plays Toby and serves as the series' show runner is also leaving.
"The Office" returns to NBC this fall on Sept. 20 at 9 p.m.
