Will George Clooney Propose To Stacy Keibler? Michael C. Fina Gemologist Ricky Wubnig Talks Proposals [PHOTOS]
It recently came out that "Millionare Matchmaker" Patti Stanger told George Clooney's current squeeze Stacy Keibler that her famous bachelor beau NEEDS "to propose within a year of them being together." Is Clooney just afraid of commitment after his first failed marriage to Talia Balsam in 1989...or is he just looking for the perfect way to propose?
If George is looking for some advice on proposing, Ricky Wubnig, a top gemologist and consultant at Manhattan jeweler Michael C. Fina has some pretty wild proposal stories.
Remember when comedian and late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon crashed a couple's engagement at Rockefeller Center? Michael C. Fina wasn't behind Fallon's 'Bee'-zare engagement crashing, but Wubnig explained that the jeweler helped plan the 2011 proposal.
"It's our area of expertise," Wubnig explained, "Something we can add." Wubnig revealed that they shut down Rockefeller Center, clearing the ice rink for their client. "They just happened to be filming a T.V. show," the gemologist explained of Fallon's role in their client's proposal. "Jimmy jumped in."
Fallon just happened to be wearing a bumble bee costume for a segment for Saturday Night Live. The Daily Mail reported that after the woman said yes, Fallon skated on over to congratulate the couple.
If Clooney or Keibler are not the skating type, Wubnig described some other unique proposal experiences that Michael C. Fina helped orchestrate. "I had a client recently rent out a movie theatre," said Wubnig, explaining that they put together a slide show of both their lives. At the end of the slide show Wubnig's client came out from behind the screen to propose.
Can't you picture a Clooney/Keibler slide show? When you think of a proposal idea such as this one, it's kind of nice knowing that you have the paparazzi documenting your every step together (even Keibler's recent 'pregnant belly').
"We will never tell him what to do," the gemologist and consultant said of their experience with their clients. "We will give our input. My goal is to take it to the next level."
Between 15 to 20 engagements a month occur with the help of the Manhattan jewelers. "Anywhere from dinner reservations to shutting down Rockefeller Center," Wubnig says of their involvement with clients. "It's an honor of ours."
Located on Fifth avenue in New York City Michael C. Fina has been celebrating life's milestones for the past 75 years. They have the largest collection of engagement rings in New York City, selling more than any jeweler.
If Clooney does envision himself finally settling down (and Keibler listens to Stanger), the actors clock is ticking on planning the perfect proposal. "It depends on how far he is willing to take it," Wubnig explained of planning the perfect setting to pop the important question. The gemologist and consultant said that it could take weeks to months on end.
Do you think George Clooney will pop the question to Stacy Keibler?
