‘The Artist’s” Uggie Gets His Paws Immortalized At Grauman’s Chinese Theatre

Jack Russell Terrier Uggie captured audiences hearts when he appeared in the Oscar winning film "The Artist." Now the scene stealing dog will be immortalized at Grauman's Chinese Theatre when he plants his paws into cement on June 25.

The pooch is set to appear in style at 10 A.M. on June 25. Uggie is reportedly going to be rolling in by fire engine.

Besides making his mark on history, his appearance is being labeled as a retirement party for the Jack Russell Terrier. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the dogs trainer Omar Von Muller said that his Oscar show appearance in February would be his last step in the Hollywood scene. The Daily Mail reported in early February that the dog was suffering from a "mysterious shaking syndrome" that his trainer is calling a neurological disorder. Von Muller made an exception with his Grauman cement ceremony though.

To help celebrate Uggies retirement, the Hollywood Reporter states that Food Network "Ace of Cakes" star Duff Goldman will present the pup with a cake shaped like a fire hydrant.

Uggies cement ceremony also coincides with the release of "The Artist" on home entertainment. The film hits shelves on Blu-Ray and DVD on June 26.

According to the Washington Post Uggie will also be releasing a memoir in October called "Uggie: My Story."
