Jonah Hill has been added to the cast of Quentin Tarantino's film "Django Unchained" at the last minute. The film has reportedly finished filming and is due in theaters in the winter.

"Django Unchained" is a film about a 24-year-old overweight virgin whose father purchases him Django's slave wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), to boost the boy's confidence. Hill was originally asked to play the role of Scotty Harmony last year, but declined because of scheduling issues. The role eventually went to Sacha Baron Cohen, but he also dropped out of the project. It's not clear which role Hill will play, but it does not seem to be Harmony. Harmony's role is still unfilled.

"I got offered the new Quentin Tarantino movie, and I can't do it because of my schedule," Hill said to MTV last year. "Doing Quentin's movie would have obviously been amazing, but my schedule didn't work out, which sucks."

Will Smith was also originally cast in the movie to play the main role, but couldn't take it due to scheduling issues with "Men In Black 3." The role eventually went to Jamie Foxx.

"I came really close, it was one of the most amazing screenplays I had ever ever seen," Smith said to Empire. "I was in the middle of 'Men In Black 3' and [Tarantino] was ready to go, and I just couldn't sit with him and get through the issues, so I didn't want to hold him up. That thing's going to be ridiculous. It is a genius screenplay."

"Django Unchained" stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Johnson and hits theaters on Dec. 25.

Hill will next be seen in "The Watch" and is also starring opposite DiCaprio in the Martin Scorsese-directed "The Wolf Of Wall Street."
