David Arquette Files For Divorce From Courtney Cox
Courteney Cox and David Arquette are moving closer to officially being divorced. Arquette filed for divorce on June 8 citing irreconcilable differences. The "Scream" actor is asking for joint custody of the couple's daughter, Coco.
Arquette and Cox first separated in October of 2010. Following the separation Arquette was seen partying, went on Howard Stern and revealed personal information about himself and the marriage and seemed to be having a rough time with the separation. He ultimately entered rehab to deal with his issues.
"The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage," the soon to be exes said when they first separated.
Cox and Arquette have remained friendly and stated that they are "best friends" committed to raising their daughter together.
The divorce papers were signed in March and make no mention of how the property or assets will be divided. Arquette has no lawyer and is representing himself.
The couple, who met on the set of the first "Scream" movie in 1995 have been married since 1999.
