Kobe And Vanessa Bryant Put The Brakes On Their Divorce
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant are putting the brakes on their impending divorce for now. Vanessa initially filed for divorce back in December and had six months following that date to sign the divorce papers. The six month mark is this weekend. TMZ is now reporting that the couple are trying to reconcile, but not yet living together.
Kobe and Vanessa have been married since 2001 and have two children together.
If Vanessa and Kobe would have divorced, Vanessa stood to get $75 million from Kobe and the NBA star had already transferred all three of their mansions solely into Vanessa's name.
This is not the first issue the Bryants have had in their marriage. Back in Kobe was accused of raping a 19-year-old hotel employee, Katelyn Faber, in Colorado the night before he was scheduled to have knee surgery. Kobe admitted in a press conference with his wife at his side that he had a sexual encouter with Faber, but vehemently denied raping her. The case was dropped in 2004 after Faber refused to testify. Faber later sued Kobe and the two sides settled for an undisclosed amount. During the ordeal Kobe brought Vanessa the now infamous $4 million, purple diamond, "I'm sorry" ring.
